World Level Reports
The Tides of War, by K.R.M. Morias
All lines of messaging and communication with Harfang has been severed
upon the date of August 15th, 1160. Though the knowledge of the island
being under Drakorian control has been common knowledge for a time, there
were still Kasurian forces fighting from the inside, assisted with furre
gurellias trying to take back control of the land, only to find the island
heavily entrenched by Drakorians...and to the horror of much of Harfang's
liberation forces, Kasurian troops that have defected to the enemy.
In their surprise, Kasurian forces still present around Zaydore and the
southern region of the island have been caught unawares; captured alive,
wounded, or even killed in many counter-raids and ambushes from within.
Surprisingly, the numbers of escaped prisoners of war have been many in the
passing weeks.
I should know. For I am one of them.
The news that others and I bring back home is grim, but not without its
light of hope. Where once they were our enemies, there are Drakorian
wyrmmes and other soldiers that fight the good fight. Not for the glory of
battle or even the rewards in the aftermath of war, but for honor - their
own, and the honor of those despoiled and ruined by the effects of the war
and those already lost. According to the Drakorians, they are deserters -
but according to our forces, they are friends.
This behavior, though common in long-term large-scale battles, is not
unusual; sympathizing with one's enemy is the result of having to clash
against them, to find out that the cause of a nemesis does not clash so much
with your own. It can be disturbing to some, where the fine lines of war
and hatred grow blurred until uncertainty is all that remains.
The entirety of the 68th Rangekishers Legion and three-fourths of the 22nd
Knight Company 'Hammer of Fury' has been lost in the battles to retake
Zaydore and the surrounding lands. Only the southern shoreline of the
island remain under Kasurian control, and even then the lines of defense are
dangerously thin. Generals commanding under King Constantine the XII have
ordered a tactical delayed retreat, to bring forces back to Port Leothra and
surrounding outposts for the oncoming invasion, and to benefit from forcing
the enemy to attack our well-fortified defenses.

The Red Cap's Folly, by Adiemus De A'rnase
A little while back word had reached me of a Faerie creature that
roamed the south woods. It has come to my attention before the onset of this
incident that Lord Bahir the Equine Paladin had clashed blades with the
creature. I thought nothing else of the matter until two nights hence when
the creature struck again. My lovely mate and I were assisting in the
birthing of kits belonging to Persis a local patron of the tavern. The Red
Cap came through the back door of the infirmary, making it's way to stand
behind my mate, Saralwyn. The creature had begun a long string of insults
and rather rude comments to the femme's even Persis whom was almost entirely
helpless at the time. The creature and I did battle with nither of us
gaining an actual wound until my dagger struck and became lodged within the
forearm of the beast, which for all my knowledge could still be there, for I
lost my grip as he ran...he had carried my dagger away along with him. I am
setting out this report as a warning...this monster must be stopped, but do
so with the most caution and discression as you can muster.
Populace Beware!, by Corporal Arminius Scaevola Pattonius II
In late August, the body of Icewing was found northwest of Blackstone
Tavern. She had been shot in the chest with a crossbow, her neck cut, and
the word 'CHACAL' carved into her cheek. This attacker left no other
evidence besides the body of this poor femme and is still at large. Furres
should be cautious in the Blackstone area and should travel with another
furre.
Eyes Alert, Ears Perked, by Ava-Rea
Recently, an ebon bodied feline seems to have appeared within the Blackstone
Tavern area, clothed only in that of crimson shades and black. Never
spotted indoors, but rather outdoors and beside the warmth of the fire,
often sitting dangerously close to the flames. She doesn't seem to currently
hold any threat to a furre as of yet, though she seems to have an odd
behaviour towards others within a certain distance. She may hiss and narrow
her hazel tinted eyes, but she seems to hold no weaponry upon her furreson,
though however this is only because she has used none as of yet. Strange
streaks mark her fur, perhaps mistaken for bloodied patches although they
seem not to wash off, and even on the rare occasion seem to blend with the
flames that she chooses to sit so close to.
When something occurs that may seem as a threat to her, beware.. her
attitude seems to be one of much suspicion, little trust and unhesitant to
react when needed, thinking little of it. She's a furre of little words,
though one thing is slowly becoming more commonly known about her.. She goes
by the name Crimson, though whether this is her real one or not, no furre
knows.

To Balance Tides of Battle, by Baron Taerus Mawr Dyffryn aep Ceallach
Many may have heard of the recent unfavourable turn of events in the battle
for Harfang. And while most will agree that it is bad that this has come to
be, the question has to be asked: could this have been avoided? The group I
represent is an elite company of mercenaries of the highest calibre,
veterans of many a battle. Several times, we have made attempts at offering
our services to first the garrison of Blackstone, and later Kasuria's army.
Each time, if we were even listened to, we were turned down. One would
assume that in the best interest of a country would be to win a war with
minimal loss of life to its citizens, and using mercenaries for this is one
of the easier, if costly, solutions. Thus, for those who care for this,
their country and home, I have a proposition: a reward of 100 suns for
forwarding our offer of help to the Kasurian high command.
After all, why lose your own soldiers when you can pay others to die in
their place? Not to mention... the dead don't collect fees.
The Order of the Black Paw. Your cause can be ours.
