Drakorian Ships: Harfang, written by Rinoke Fa'lintered

Rinoke Fa'lintered recently made a two-week visitation to Drakoria. He reported that the wyrrmes were hostile, making it necessary for him to travel in secret. He claims he spotted ships of wyrrmes heading East and when he arrived at Harfang he saw that they were gathering there. Upon his return to Blackstone, Rinoke said he was thankful to see that life is still normal there.

Military Activity, written by Zantar King

King Constantine the XII has recently been organzing an army of the most skilled raptor riders in the country. Although his reasons are unknown, the general assumption is that he is planning a response to the attack on Harfang. Additionally, a rumor circulates that the king has ordered imprisonment for furres who decide to take the Drakorian matter into their own paws. This measure was likely taken because personal involvement would foolish, and would only provoke the Drakorians to attack again. The best form of action for furres who wish protect Kasuria would be to join garrison where they would learn how to fight most effectively.

Newly Instituted Taxes, written by Zantar King

The general response from the public to the recent tax increase has been that it should be lowered. However, all must consider that it provides more money for our king to the strengthen the army and defeat the Drakorians more quickly. All furres of Kasuria should be co-operative because the taxes will probably be lowered once the war is over. Every furre will struggle, but all must do their part to protect Kasuria.

Death in the Cold, written by K.R.M. Morias

In the winter season, Kasuria is draped in the many gentle blankets of snow that fall from the sky. The enemy of farmers and ill-dressed furres, the season of snow and ice has at least had a positive effect on the Kasurian war. It is a little-known fact that Drakorians tend to slow down in cold temperatures. Some attribute this to the Primes' and Dark Primes' struggle, but in actuality, no furre can be certain of its initial cause. In weather such as this, the combat abilities of many Drakorians are reduced considerably, turning what would have been a swift Drakorian sword-dancer into a naked tortoise scurrying around with its tail between its legs. Although battle maneuvers in the dead of the winter are tactically unsound, a good troop commander would weigh risk with result in this case. Since snowstorms and winds could be just as deadly to a Raptor Knight or Dragonrider as they could to a lowly Drakorian spear-wielder, no furres-in-arms have landed in Drakoria yet. Scouts and spies stationed in Harfang have reported that Drakorian activity there has most certainly slowed to a crawl since the first snowfall. The number of refugees traveling from Zaydore has also decreased with the coming of winter. Living conditions have gradually declined for survivors and prisoners of war living upon the island.

Continuity Level Reports
A large feral wolf has been spotted prowling through the outskirts of the Blackstone area. The few who claim to have seen it describe the creature as unusually large, brown in color, and undoubtedly hostile. Though the wolf has yet to venture close to the tavern or harm anyfurre, it has been noted that various game pens have been showing up short of a fowl or two. (Contributed by Leena Seregil)

Warning to all! Many furres have been killed and even more have been injured around the vicinity of Blackstone Tavern and Inn. All were shot down with arrows from the rooftop of the tavern by a dark elf. It is of the utmost importance that all travelers be wary when in the area—protect your kits and watch you back. This servant of Erigon, Dark Prime of Murder, will stop at nothing to kill innocent furres. Capture him if you can, if not for your sake, then for the sake of all things kind and true! The Harvestfeast held on November 28th has come and gone. The feast is held annually to celebrate the abundance of food gathered during the past months. The plethora of free food and drink seemed to warm all furres' spirits in the area of Blackstone. Although the day was far from peaceful, most were happy to welcome the holiday's arrival. An artistic recreation of the festivities was contributed by Toree Witburn.

Local furres in the Blackstone area have reported the disappearance and slaughter of some of their livestock in the past few months. There have been six instances so far, two in which furres also reported seeing a large, feral black panther. Unlike most feral beasts they'd occasionally seen, both furres said this creature had an extra pair of legs. It is uncertain whether the other four reports are related. The furres in question opted for the capture of the beast, dead or alive. One has even offered a price of 25 suns for the beast's head, having lost his prize ostrix to this creature. Additional sightings should be reported at once to the authorities in the area. All furres that plan on hunting the beast should be extra cautious as it is believed to be quite dangerous. Robbery! On the evening of November 28, a Blackstone local by the name of Adelle Forrester was attacked and robbed about a quarter mile North of the tavern. Items lost included a sword, an ostrix, a pack of traveling supplies, and a bag of coins. All together these items are estimated to worth twenty suns. Keep an eye out for the two armed robbers, reported to be a gray rat with brownish hair and a red headed lynx. Both were dressed in clothing that blended in with the autumn foliage and were riding their own ostrixes at the time. (Contributed by Psycrowe)

Corporal Delicia of the garrison was attacked the 1st of December in the late evening by a large, white furred, feral wolf, while on foot patrol near Blackstone Tavern. Delicia suffered superficial wounds to her left leg and the feral escaped when the number of furres in the area drastically increased due to the noise of the fight. Corporal Krizara came to Delicia's aid as one of the furres in the crowd attracted by the noise and was able to administer medical attention after the wolf ran. (Contributed by Kaea)

According to Chevel Lawry, there have been a number of robberies around the Blackstone area. She reports that a swamp goblin is the blame for these heinous acts. The thief is the size a full-grown furre and has a muscular build. Her skin is a dark murky green and is covered with black markings and battle scars. She has bulbous yellow eyes and one toe is missing from her left foot. The goblin's clothing consists of ragged brown or green material, constantly stained with mud and/or blood. She smells terrible, mainly due to the fact that she lives in a swamp and she is believed to carry a large mace. (Contributed by Chevel Lawry)

A fighting tournament is scheduled to be held at Blackstone Tavern and Inn. It will consist of up to 20 contestants who will spar one-on-one. The only weapons permitted will be those meant for sparring and training (ie: no sharp blades). Albert Halorin will supply such weapons for contestants who lack them. Each pair of contenders will choose whether to fight with weapons or paw-to-paw. All types of magic will be allowed, but only in a non-lethal form. Under no circumstance are participants to bring their opponent beyond the point of unconsciousness. If this rule is ignored, the attacking contestant will be arrested and charged appropriately. Each match will be judged by a referee who will determine when a one contestant is no longer able to fight. At this point, the other contestant will be declared winner of that round. The tournament will be single elimination with a possible loser's bracket if enough interest is sparked. If a match has not been completed after 45 minutes, the referee will choose a victor. The winner of the tournament will be paid 300 gold coins and awarded an ostrix from the Blackstone stables. Upon the conclusion of the tournament, Blackstone Tavern will sponsor an "open bar" night for all. (Contributed by Albert Halorin)

Early in the afternoon of December 16th, Direclaw reported the theft of four ostrixes from Blackstone Tavern stables. The thief is said to be a male vulpine in his early twenties wearing green trousers and a purple shirt. Direclaw has offered a reward of 50 suns bounty to the one who returns the mounts and another 50 to the one who brings back the thief. (Contributed by Direclaw)

On December 17th at 5:00 PM, Mortillaro of Stoberski and Anenia Mekqa were married at Fion Meadhrach Winery.

Deaths/Resurrections
On November 28th, Bagger Vance was killed after being shot in the back with three arrows. A note reading, "For the bat creature in the barn," was found on his body.

On November 29th, Toree Witburn was found brutally mutilated by a wolf were, according to paw prints and all evidence on the scene. He was later resurrected by Lesomi.

On November 29th, Isabel Merimey was killed by a vampyre. She was found injured in the orchard and died shortly thereafter.

On December 19th, Mescay died after being diagnosed with pneumonia. She was later resurrected by an unknown furre and seems to have no knowledge of her death.
