Visitors, we're glad you're here!
First off, let's note:
The Blackstone Continuity is not a guild. We have no Rah, Taneestas or Members. It is an Open, IC Continuity using a number of dreams, based on the official 'Dragonlands' background information provided by Furcadia.

Our Default 'style' of play is 'freeform', non-plotted (Below a 'world events' level) IC RP at a realism level where IC damage to or death of your character is a distinctly real possibility, with or without your OOC consent. Those visitors wishing a different default level of RP should note it in their description, or make it plain to an opponent before combat begins, as a matter of courtesy.

We are not responsible for providing you with RP, we only claim to provide a coherent Continuity setting and interesting dreams for you to RP in with other players.

While we encourage this level of realism, and ask that our patrons be reasonable about issues of death, resurrection and reincarnation, not to mention their character's power levels, we do not enforce the death of any character within the Continuity. It is simply not possible from a 'staff involvement' standpoint, let alone from a moral one of saying 'your character must stay dead' to a player, except in the utmost extreme circumstances. Our Patrons are quite capable of enforcing their own ideas about permanent death as a Community through simple peer pressure and the refusal to ICly interact with someone whom they feel is not ICly 'there' because the character is dead.

Rules

1. There are no Humans. This Continuity is very closely based on Furcadia's official Continuity, 'The Dragonlands'. There are no such things as Humans, half humans, ect. We ask Humans either leave or change to a furre character, please. And note: 'I'm a furre but I look like a human.' doesn't work here. If it looks Human, it's not acceptable. For more information about Humans and other character types that are not allowed, see our Continuity Background.

2. Please keep all OOC conversation to whispers. If you must have an OOC conversation, please either do it in whispers or away from other players; or, if several other players *need* to see what you're posting for RolePlay reasons, use brackets [ ] to enclose your comments. [ My dog just peed on the carpet! AHHHHH!!! ] is not considered an acceptable use of brackets for OOC information. Failure to abide by this suggestion will get you ejected and possibly banned from the dream and continuity.

3. Please remain IC. While we welcome newcomers, we do expect that they will be reasonably 'IC' in keeping with our Continuity's background. Ordering a strawberry daiquiri in a medieval tavern, or acting 'mad' will only get you odd looks and possibly the wrong kind of attention. Some of the locals don't like furres who are 'odd'.

4. Runes protect furres inside the tavern, and they protect the tavern and barn from fire. Violent actions are reflected twofold.

5. Please respect the Technical level of this Continuity. Kasuria's technology is limited to a 'Medieval' level, with only a few authorized exceptions. We're pretty loose about this, unless the breach is major. For information on Guns, see our Continuity background page under 'Gunnepowder'.

6. Please remember that only 'official' countries and Kingdoms exist here. The whole island-continent is very much under the control of King Constantine the XIII. References to 'The Kingdom of Balistrae' or wherever will be met with blank looks and probably a roll of the eyes as you are taken for being 'touched' in the head. Kingdoms that are uploaded in the Imaginarium (Ansteorra, etc.) do not exist in the continuity.

7. Please do not advertise. We ask that you do not advertise your 'product or service', or recruit for your 'Guild' or group while here. Frankly, it's extremely rude. The furres involved in Blackstone have worked a long time on it, and built up a pool of good 'regular patrons' who RP well. You're free to do the same, but you are not free to build your own project by attempting to 'draw away' our patrons. Open a dream. That's what we did.

8. Please remember you are our Guest. This is not a main map, and you do not have a 'right' to be here as you would on a main map.

The Management reserves the right to refuse entry, service or roleplay to any party at any time for any reason, and does not have to inform prior to, nor specify a reason for, banning or ejection, nor are we required to debate the issue. Having made that clear, I'd note we're a pretty easy going lot.

9. Please do not ask to load your dream in ours. We do not intend to become a 'suburb' of Imaginarium where just anyone can load their dreams. Dream uploads on our Continuity map are for staff members with share capability only.

10. Spying (as in, seating your character around RP and then going idle) is no longer tolerated in the continuity. If you're going to idle, pick a place where no one is RPing. If you want to idle where RP is, post your arrival. If you're idling and furres come and RP around you, that's different and out of your control. Either post or move once you realize what's going on. Spies can expect to be ejected.

A friendly word to our guests who may be new to RolePlay in Furcadia:
If you are ignored, or spend your time alone and miserable, it's your issue, not ours. You may wish to remove the number from your name, the 'luvs FlamYBunny 4 EVah' from your description, and not use 'words' like 'R U DED?' in polite conversation. Most RP character descriptions are limited to what a furre would see/sense by looking at you - species and gender, clothing, visible weapons, your scent, body language and attitude. A description that includes things that are not able to be 'ICly known', such as 'She was a princess in her own kingdom of Druvernia until it was burned down when she was five...' is likely to be taken as an indication of being someone that some RPers as less willing to interact with. Or, perhaps your style of RP needs to be thought about again. Few players will recognize 'Xena' moves or 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' acrobatics after you've used them several times.

This isn't Imaginarium. If we wished to play that way, we'd all still be there, neh?
